Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications are the only globally recognized credentials that validate an individual technical expertise in the ultra-popular business productivity applications within the Microsoft Office Suite.

The Three Levels of MOS Certifications

There are three levels of MOS certification: Specialist, Expert, and Master. Each certification level boosts an individual further on the path to greater achievements and advancement. Individuals can certify at all three levels, and should try to obtain the highest level possible. The market demands, and caters to, those who possess the most education and skills.

Becoming a Specialist is good. Becoming an Expert is better. And becoming a Master is best.

The three levels of MOS certifications are as follows:

MOS_expert.png MOS Expert: To get a higher credential for two of the job market's most in-demand technologies: Word and Excel. It validates advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

MOS_master.pngMOS Master: To reach the highest level by passing PowerPoint, Access or Outlook, and the two Expert exams. It validates overall proficiency and deep expertise of Microsoft Office. Requires four exams: Word Expert, Excel Expert, PowerPoint, plus one elective.
