March 24, 2013 - JIC faculty attended a conference entitled: “High Performance Concrete and Sustainable Materials for Green Construction” at Karan Hotel Jubail Industrial City. The one-day conference was attended by around 200 invited guests from local industries and academia.

The conference showed the importance of sustainable materials under two main objectives: achieving high performance concrete in the gulf region and the use of concrete in green construction. This was a great opportunity for faculty to see up to date advances in sustainable materials and new advances in concrete technology. The conference also highlighted examples of structures using self-consolidating concrete and normal concrete admixtures around Jubail Industrial City.
