8/9/2018

The English Language Institute at Jubail Industrial College concluded the English Language Summer Program for 87 high school students as part of its community programs during the Summer Semester (Semester 383). The said program was announced and the registration process was completed on May, 2018. It aimed to educate high schoolers on English language skills such as literacy skills, speaking and communication skills.

The trainees have completed a total training duration of 7 weeks which started on June 24 to August 9, 2014, in conjunction with other summer programs at the College. It is also worth mentioning that the program is also aimed at preparing high school students and providing them important information about the various aspects of a university/college study.

Such summer programs aim at optimizing the time of the students, especially during the summer vacation which lasts for about 4 months from the beginning of Ramadan until after the Hajj season. These programs cater to students who are soon entering the University/College, and to students who would like to benefit from the community programs of the English Language Institute.

The English Language Institute was inaugurated in 2015 with a pioneering vision in teaching English to serve the community in Saudi Arabia. The English Language Institute has 23 language labs and 165 intelligent classrooms. The Institute has more than 160 faculty members from 19 different nationalities, with more than 5,000 students and trainees during the last academic year. It is worth mentioning that the Jubail Industrial College presented the English language program to high school students on the basis of the importance of the participation of universities, colleges and institutes in the service of society, especially for the children of this country.
