JUBAIL INDUSTRIAL COLLEGE AND SAUDI ASSOCIATION OF SAFETY AND FIRE SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

​Jubail Industrial College and Saudi Association of Safety and Fire signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will pave the way for mutual cooperation in the field of training ang consultancy. The said agreement was signed on May 16, 2018 at JIC campus.

The new agreement stipulates the training of 298 safety officers from the Civil Defense Ministry and all those who plans to join or work within the engineering offices as approved by the Directorate General of Civil Defense. Furthermore, various safety officials at the Ministry of Education will also be trained, including the plan to open the association's branch at JIC campus where JIC will be the sole training provider for their training needs for a period of ten (10) years. This plan will be approved by the College, the Saudi Council of Engineers, and the Supreme Industrial Security Authority. The approved laboratories and the establishment of the branch will be accredited by the Center for Safety Training and Fire Prevention and the Saudi Quality and Standards Authority.

The Saudi Association of Safety and Fire aims to develop the skills of firefighters, rescue and safety personnel, to carry out scientific researches and applied studies in this field, to exchange experiences with local and international parties, to provide assistance and consultations to various bodies, and to follow up and introduce modern technologies in the field of fire and safety to the community. The association also aspires to raise awareness on fire and accident hazards and to classify, develop and sponsor institutions and cadres active in the field of safety and fire prevention.
