In light of its efforts in pursuing continuous professional development, the English Language Institute on November 20-24, 2016 held several training programs in the field of English language teaching for its faculty members throughout the Colleges and Institutes Sector. These programs included an online training course in collaboration with Cambridge University Press. This course consisted of 20 hours of instruction in "Teaching Vocabulary and Pronunciation".  The online training program component was well received by faculty members.

Also, the ELI presented several professional workshops in collaboration with both the British Council and Cambridge University Press who provided a total of 4 trainers to deliver these workshops.  It is worth noting that all of the courses and training programs are internationally recognized and approved.
