Jubail Industrial College was honored by His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, on Sunday, 18 March 2018, during his visit to Jubail.

The General Manager of the Colleges and Institutes Sector presented to His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the most prominent achievements of the sector, and met with a group of students in the sector.

His visit included a tour of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology Department to view the most recent  projects of the students of Jubail Industrial College. One of these projects was a graduation project for students to utilize wind energy in vehicles and trains using the integrated electrical power simulation laboratory. This laboratory is used to study basic machines, advanced transmission lines, distribution and analysis of the power, control and prevention system. The laboratory is also used for applied research to analyze energy systems. Recently, several units for training in renewable energy, such as solar and wind, have been added to become part of the electrical network in this plant in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
