The Planning and Development deputyship seeks to implement the highest standards of performance and quality systems to run the educational process and ensure learning outcomes appropriate to the needs of the labor market

The deputyship was established in 2012 (1433 AH) under the name "the deputyship of Curricula and Quality Assurance (CQA)". Then, in late 2019 (1440 AH), its name was changed to the Agency for Planning and Development in accordance with the new organizational structure for the education sector at the Royal Commission for Jubail.

The Planning and Development deputyship prepares and follows up the college's strategic plan that is in line with the strategic plan for the education sector and the Royal Commission in Jubail, which in turn is compatible with the Kingdom's 2030 vision to achieve an advanced and appropriate educational environment for the future. Which strengthens the college's position as a leader in graduating young people who are qualified to advance the pace of development and development in the Kingdom.

The role of the deputyship integrates with the Deputyship for Educational Affairs and Training in the college and the rest of the units and departments according to the tasks assigned to them and in accordance with national and international standards

From this standpoint, the college has achieved several achievements, including all academic programs obtaining international program accreditations. The Planning and Development deputyship is also seeking to obtain the institutional and program accreditation from NCAAA.

MISSION

To empower the college with tools for planning, development, quality assurance and performance measurement that are in line with both national and international standards to ensure high quality education and training outcomes of the college and therefore contribute to achieving the strategic objectives of the education sector at the Royal Commission in Jubail with regards to postsecondary technical education.

SOME ROLES

  1. Prepare the college's annual budget.
  2. Prepare the college strategic and annual operational plans and follow up their implementation.
  3. Follow up operations related to college's performance indicators and benchmark them with local and international institutions.
  4. Prepare plans for internal/international academic accreditations and follow up their implementation.
  5. Carry out work related to planning, developing education/training programs and curricula, and making local and international benchmarking.
  6. Prepare and submit the required periodic/quarterly reports to higher management.
  7. Conduct studies and prepare reports on learning outcomes and overall college performance to assist decision-making.
  8. Follow up on the implementation of memorandum of understanding and agreements between the sector and external bodies at the college level.
