The English Language Center (ELC) is one of the first places where students come into contact with college life, and so it tries to ensure that their college years constitute a period of intellectual and social growth.
Since English is the medium of instruction in the specialization subjects, the Center aims to develop the English proficiency level that students need to function effectively in the college. The Center reflects the College's commitment to quality, based on a thoughtful, sensitive and efficient response to our students' needs.
The English Language Center has the following academic objectives :
- To establish a strong basis in the English language, so that the students will be able to understand and respond to instructions in their classroom and work environment and develop the proficiency to pursue their academic study in the College.
- To bridge the gap between the students' previous educational experience and knowledge and the specialization programs, by developing their ability to study independently as well as under academic supervision, and by helping them to cultivate a disciplined approach to their studies.
